Three steps, and a few minutes
There is no software to install and nothing to schedule. You tell Santa about your child, you choose which Santa records it, and he does the rest. The details take a few minutes; the video itself takes three to five more.
Tell Santa about your child
Their name, their age, whether they’ve made the nice list, and the one thing they’ve been asking for. Add a personal detail if you want him to really land it — the dog’s name, the street, the badge they earned in September.
Choose your Santa
Pick which Santa records the message and whether he sounds American or British, then set the tone, the length and the music behind him.
He records it, you keep it
Three to five minutes later it’s ready — a video you can send by text, WhatsApp, email or AirDrop, or just download and keep.

What’s happening behind the scenes
Not everyone cares, but the people who do tend to care quite a lot — so here it is honestly.
| Stage | What happens | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| Script | The details you gave are written into a message in Santa’s voice, in the tone and length you chose. | Seconds |
| Voice | The script is spoken with real pacing, warmth and emphasis rather than read out flatly. | Seconds |
| Performance | The Santa you chose is animated to the words, so the mouth matches what’s being said. | A minute or two |
| Assembly | The message is placed in the North Pole set, with the fire, the tree and the snow at the window. | Under a minute |
| Delivery | The finished file is made available to watch, download and send. | Instant |
You can close the tab while it works. Nothing needs you to sit and watch a progress bar, and nothing is lost if your connection drops.
What you end up with
- A standard MP4 file in HD, which plays on everything and needs no app.
- No watermark on the paid version, and no logo across the corner.
- No expiry. Once downloaded it is a file on your device, and nothing we do can take it away from you.
- No photo of your child anywhere in the process. Santa is one of ours, so there is nothing of theirs to store in the first place.
- Yours to delete. The details you gave are kept with the video so you can come back to it. Delete the video and they go too.
One piece of practical advice. Download the file before the moment you actually need it. Streaming a video live in front of an excited five-year-old is the one avoidable way to spoil this, and it happens every year.
Try it — it takes a few minutes

Questions
How long does the whole thing take?
A few minutes to fill in the details — most of that spent deciding what Santa should say — and then three to five minutes while the video renders.
How much can Santa be told?
Their name, age, town, up to five interests, what they’ve achieved this year and what they’ve asked for — plus who the video is from, so he can thank Mum and Dad or a grandparent by name.
Is there a free version?
Yes — a short cartoon Santa message with your child’s name in it, and a personalized letter that is free to make and print today. The free Santa video page sets out what each one includes.
What devices does it work on?
Any phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install. The finished video is a standard MP4, so it plays everywhere and shares without converting.
Is my child’s information kept?
The details you type are stored with your video so you can go back to it later, and deleting the video deletes them with it. No photo of your child is ever involved. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising, and there are no ads on this site.
How late can I leave it?
There is no postal deadline and no queue to join, so a video created after the children are in bed on Christmas Eve will be ready long before morning.
