What we publish, and what we don’t
Review pages in this category are not always what they appear to be. Some are written by the company. Some quote a rating from a platform that hosts a hundred reviews and displays the best nine. So before any of them: here is exactly what appears on this page and how it gets here.
Real customers only
Every review below was submitted by somebody who made a video. Nothing here is written by us, commissioned, or generated.
The middling ones stay
Three-star reviews are published alongside five-star ones. A page of unbroken praise tells you nothing except that somebody is filtering.
Nothing is edited
Wording is left as submitted. We remove only a child’s full name or anything else that identifies a family, and we shorten nothing to change its meaning.
No rating until it’s real
We don’t display an average star rating or mark this page up with one until there are enough genuine reviews for the number to mean anything.

The questions parents ask before buying
These come up more than anything else in the messages we get, and they are worth answering here rather than making anybody ask.
“Will it actually convince my child?”
It depends far more on what you tell Santa than on us. A video that mentions a name and nothing else is easy to dismiss. A video that mentions the dog, the street, and the swimming badge earned in September is not. Give him the specifics and the answer is usually yes.
“Does it sound like a robot?”
Less than it used to. The voice is the part that has improved fastest, and the giveaway was always a flat, hurried delivery rather than the words themselves. The free cartoon Santa message will say your child’s own name for nothing, which settles the question better than any review can.
“What happens to my child’s details?”
They are used to make the video and kept with it, so you can come back to the video later — and deleting it removes them too. Nothing is sold or shared, there are no ads on the site, and no photo of your child is ever uploaded, because Santa is one of ours.
“Is it worth it compared to the free ones?”
Sometimes not, and we say so on our comparison page, which includes the situations where you should use somebody else. If free-and-finished is what you need, take it.

Are these reviews real?
Yes. Every review on this page was submitted by a customer who made a video. None are written by us, commissioned, incentivised or generated, and critical ones are published alongside positive ones.
Why isn’t there a star rating at the top?
Because an average calculated from a small number of reviews is a misleading figure dressed up as a precise one. We will publish an overall rating when there are enough genuine reviews for it to mean something.
Do you remove negative reviews?
No. We remove content that identifies a child or family, and nothing else. A review page with no criticism on it is evidence of filtering rather than of quality.
Can I leave a review?
Yes, and we’d welcome it — especially if something didn’t work as you expected. Those reviews are the ones that change the product.
How do I know the video is any good before paying?
Make the free cartoon Santa message first. It uses your child’s real name and costs nothing, so you can hear how Santa handles the name and the delivery before you spend anything. The examples on this site show what the full version adds.
Is there a refund if we’re not happy?
If something goes wrong with a video you paid for, contact us and we will put it right — a failed render never costs you anything. Trying the free version first is the best way to know what you are buying.
